Manzil is a community where learning can be fun, where fair and sensible rules tempered with compassion rather than a dictatorial, hierarchical setup run the affairs, where ‘learner’ and ‘teacher’ are not fixed positions but roles that each one of us takes at different times and where both roles are equally respected, where questioning is encouraged, where action is valued and not sermonizing, where there’s total transparency in functioning, where open channels of communication are emphasized, where taking initiative is encouraged, where independent thinking and honesty are important in actions and not just good for preaching, and so much more. Simply put, our students are also our teachers. We offer multiple classes at various levels in Maths, English, Computers, Music, Painting, Dance, and Theatre.
